Perinatal Loss Group at Hoag

This group provides ongoing support to families suffering the trauma of miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death, including losses occurring from difficult choices. This group provides compassion and support to families who, after pregnancy loss, are ready to explore becoming pregnant again, or who are already pregnant. We know that men and women often do not experience grief in the same way. If you feel your relationahip with your partner has become strained after your loss, this support group may be helpful. Group is open to one or both parents, and is free and open to the community.

Postpartum Adjustment Group at Hoag

This group assists mothers who are having trouble adjusting to the postpartum period - newborn baby, new parenting role, changes in your relationship with your partner, poor sleep, exhaustion, irritability, anxiety, and being overwhelmed. Partners, grandparents, and other support people are welcome. Babies are welcome. Open to the community. We discuss specific ways you may better cope with the many changes that have come along with a new baby.

Pregnancy After Loss Group at Hoag

Have you lost a baby during pregnancy or infancy AND are pregnant now? Are you having trouble enjoying this pregnancy because of your fear and anxiety? This group can help. Topics include: Dealing with anxiety and panic; connecting with this baby while grieving your baby who died; having optimistic moments through pessimism; using visualization to reduce anxiety; dealing with family and friends; trusting your body again; advocating for yourself with your health care providers; making a plan for support. Meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. Free and open to the community.
