This is a space to help adult survivors of emotionally abusive or neglectful childhoods understand themselves in relation to others, release survival-based coping, and grow into a place of inner safety and love. This is a closed group with limited space available. Contact me if you're interested in a free consulation!

Traumatic events can impact every aspect of one’s daily life and well-being. This virtual support group aims to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space for individuals who have experienced one or more traumatic events (e.g., physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, domestic violence, bullying, etc.). This group emphasizes collective empowerment and community. Group members will have an opportunity to reflect on their personal experiences, connect with others, and identify factors that have helped them endure trauma. In sharing our experiences and supporting one another’s ability to continually show up in our lives, we can cultivate resilience in response to trauma.

Stress is a normal part of life, but trauma can make it feel overwhelming and unmanageable. Interpersonal experiences such as sexual assault, domestic or intimate partner violence, or childhood abuse can leave lasting impacts — creating feelings of fear, shame, guilt, and loss of safety. Survivors often describe trauma as an isolating experience, leaving them feeling disconnected from others who cannot fully understand. This group provides a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to share your story, connect with others who “get it,” and begin the process of healing. Together, we focus on reducing isolation, rebuilding trust, and supporting the journey from surviving to thriving.

Therapists are being asked to do more than ever. Helping clients with trauma is rewarding, but also challenging. You can feel confused, overwhelmed, and ineffective. With 20+ years of experience, I use a attachment-based compassionate lens and use EMDR (which I'm certified in), IFS, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and AEDP with clients, as well as Reiki and alternative healing in my work with clients. Get clarity and support in a welcoming group of therapists.

Many of us find relationships hard to navigate, especially when it comes to making new friends. This group is for those who’ve experienced developmental trauma (e.g. untreated parent w/ alcohol use, abandonment, neglect) and feel its lasting imprint on friendship in adult life. So much of building connection is learned in early childhood, and when that process is disrupted, something tender can remain unmet. Think of this group as a kind of playground for the part of you that still longs for friendship: a place to process what’s old and gently learn, practice, and try something new.

You chose this work because you care deeply about women. But nobody prepared you for what it costs to witness loss, deliver devastating news, and hold space for your patients without anyone holding space for you. If you've noticed emotional numbness, intrusive thoughts about cases, or a slow disconnection from the work that once lit you up, this group was built for you. Using structured, evidence-based EMDR protocols, we'll process what you've been absorbing so you can keep showing up without burning out. 6 weeks. Virtual. Join the waitlist.

We use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which are powerful, evidence-based approaches for people with chronic pain and medical trauma.

Whether it is trauma, anxiety, relationship dynamics, identity, sexuality, suicidality, or other stressors, I find it helpful to frame experiences within the larger sociopolitical landscape.

When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.
How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.
What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.
Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
