A group dedicated to changing the visual culture which narrowly defines and promotes a "beauty ideal", that excludes most of us. The fashion, diet, and beauty industry makes money by promoting unrealistic idealized versions of who we should be and what we should look like, causing the majority of "real" people to feel bad about themselves and their bodies. We are an international organization, open to all. Please check out Endangered Bodies.Org for more information. Psychotherapy helps us to be self-accepting so our insecurities don't undermine our ability to live full, fulfilling lives. Endangered bodies, addresses the societal causes of those messages.

Many people treat others with more empathy and kindness than they offer themselves. Negative self talk often automatically plays in the background and can have a serious impact on life experiences. They are familiar and have been with us for so long, that we barely notice them and never even thought to question whether or not they are true. But we do know that there is something about them that does not feel good. In this online support group, we will sensitively explore the validity of our negative thought patterns together.
