Recovery treatment aftercare gives people in early recovery from addiction a vehicle for transitioning from the safe treatment environment to the "outside" where life's challenges are now to be surmounted without the use of substances. Aftercare is a forum in which clients explore successes and challenges as they arise, in a safe and supportive place. Group members work on developing strategies that help them to sustain the gains made in treatment, manage emotions, build trust and explore the underlying issues that drove their self-destructive behaviors.

If you've lost a loved one, this support group can provide you with a therapeutic space to process your grief and feel less alone. You'll also learn helpful ways to cope with bereavement. This virtual group is held weekly via video conferencing.

Group therapy is an opportunity for a shared therapeutic experience with other people with similar struggles. It is an excellent method to address interpersonal issues and provides benefits beyond individual therapy. The group can be helpful to increase self-awareness, develop improved communication, improve relationship skills, and advance skills coping with difficulties. Group is a space to explore seeing and being seen by others and to work with any of the difficulties we experience in relationships.

A unique group aimed to unite and support grieving daughters / womxn who lost their mothers before age 20. Focus will be on the complexities of navigating the world after the loss of a mother. In particular, the group will examine: the unfolding of grief; obstacles to the grieving process; finding one’s identity amidst an early parental loss; impact of loss on present relationships; continuing bonds; coping with loss; mothering without a mother (applies to: existing moms, moms-to-be, and those ambivalent to motherhood); parenting ourselves. Best suited to those whose loss occurred more than 12 months ago.

Group therapy helps people learn about themselves and improve their interpersonal relationships. It addresses feelings of isolation, depression or anxiety. In group therapy, you learn that perhaps you’re not as different as you think or that you’re not alone. You’ll meet and interact with people, and the whole group learns to work on shared problems -- one of the most beneficial aspects.

Group meets Wednesdays 8-9:30pm remotely and quarterly in person. I encourage new members to speak about their concerns, or remain silent and eventually discuss thoughts with the group. The leader with members help others to express stifled emotions, understand behaviors, experiment with new attitudes and ways of coping in a safe and secure environment. The group is a powerful lab for change. Each session allows members to see patterns that are inhibiting success. The new learning usually affects ones relationships outside the group in positive ways. The group is particularly helpful to individuals having unsatisfactory or very frustrating and disappointing relationships with others.
