According to the outside world, you "have it all". But little do they know what is going up there in your head and your heart. You are anxious, stressed and overwhelmed. You have managed to survive the day to day stresses of life, but life is becoming overwhelming for you these days. Something major happens and the trauma and hurts from the past come flooding back into your life. What worked before is no longer working. The laundry is piling up, you've got to make sure the kids get to school on time, your spouse asks you "what's for dinner" and you want to scream. You know there is more. Let me help you transform your life.
I offer 90 minute sessions for EMDR and Brain-spotting with the intention of helping to desensitize and reprocess distressing memories, resolve Adverse Childhood Experiences, and treat Attachment Wounding.

I would like to help you with your symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, or overwhelm. My approach is integrative, relational, warm, and at times direct. As an EMDR certified provider, I offer an opportunity to collaborate with compassion and curiosity to empower your felt sense of safety. We can identify triggers and calm your nervous system. Client is in the driver seat- can disclose or not disclose, access a memory or not- the power is in your hands. EMDR makes no promises about outcomes, but provides a top - down (thoughts, cognitions) and bottom-up (body sensations, feelings) approach for those motivated for change.
We work intensively to help you navigate the storm of trauma. Instead of working for years on your trauma, we can transform your life in weeks. Intensives are completed in 4-8 hour blocks (typically Fridays), which allow you to process large chunks of traumatic events in a condensed time frame. You can let go and live the life you've always wanted to live.

Yoga helps to integrate the mind and the body. The goal of yoga is to increase flexibility, increase the ability to quiet the mind, and to increase life force energy in the body. If you struggle with depression, anxiety, or PTSD body movement can change your body chemistry and increase positive neurotransmitters. Yoga increases the mind body connection and can be helpful in reducing mental health symptoms, and relaxing the nervous system. In yoga we learn to regulate our breath and manage our reactions. This yoga class will focus on breathing techniques, balance, and flexibility.

I work with people and couples who understand that therapy is a process and that there are no quick fixes. Most of the people who walk through my doors know that life could be better, but don't quite know how to make that happen. They are ready for change. I work with couples and individuals who believe they have limited options in therapy. You are welcome here. Most of my clients want to address trauma, anxiety, stress, affair recovery, poor communication, and depression.

"Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it"- This is one of my favorite quotes from the movie Ferris Bueller's Day off because it is so true. Things happen to us throughout our lifetime that make us feel stuck, worthless, guilty, shamed, and like we are never enough. These ideas about ourselves dictate the way we learn, how we do in school and work, and how we love and connect to others. When someone has experienced trauma, these thoughts and feelings can be even more extreme which can cause significant distress. Growth and Empowerment is accepting new clients!

This group provides a supportive space to explore barriers such as stress and trauma, helping you develop resilience and inner peace. Join us to cultivate mind-body connection and rediscover inner strength.

I specialize in trauma recovery, anxiety relief, self-esteem building, and somatic healing through integrative, body-based therapy. Trauma doesn’t just weigh you down—it scrambles your energy, silences your truth, and disconnects you from your inner fire. It lives in the body, not just the mind, showing up as tension, numbness, or emotions that hit out of nowhere. Maybe you’re stuck in loops that don’t make sense or carrying pain that isn’t fully yours. You deserve a space where your body is honored, your story is sacred, and your healing becomes a return to your whole self.
Within this online therapy group, you will be guided through practices that illuminate a path to trauma recovery with effective, research-based strategies that facilitate resilience and enhance post-traumatic growth. We will form a healing community based upon authenticity and compassion. Sharing our personal stories is powerfully vulnerable. It can open us up to profound healing, both as the storyteller and as the witness to each other's stories. If you are interested in joining this group, we start with an initial consultation to get to know you and walk you through our process.

Maybe you have been feeling disconnected and want to feel more empowered. There are times when we need another to start a healing process and to learn in a good relationship. I have worked in the mental health field for 25 years and am here to support you. We can make sense of obstacles or losses. Some individuals cope with difficulties by disconnecting or disengaging, and often through harmful effects or behaviors. Some people’s painful experiences were met with confusing or anxious responses from others or depicted in invalidating ways. As you can hang in there with life’s struggles, I’m the person that will help guide you.

New groups starting late Spring 2025. The Women's Group will address present day life transitions frequently of concern to women. This may include, but is not limited to relationship concerns, loss, divorce, menopause, trauma and abuse. This gender specific group offers a wonderful source of support for women! The Complex Trauma group will address the impact of early childhood experiences on current functioning, including the ability to regulate emotions, establish effective relationships and strengthen self compassion and self esteem.

All types of life experiences can effect how you feel about yourself and others. Your experiences form the lens through which you view your world, and your relationships. Symptoms of depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflicts, sexual issues, for example, emerge when old when the lens becomes clouded, or when ways of coping are no longer effective. As client and therapist, we will work together to address your particular concerns. We will focus on understanding your personal story and, with equal importance, on the development of a more effective repertoire of skills that you can use in order to feel better.
Transitioning out of an IOP program can be both liberating and challenging. Together we can support one another in learning to live our lives with self-reflection and self-determination.

Life can be tough sometimes, whether it be a challenging life transition, processing trauma, or contemplating if your current relationship is your best path forward. Working together to develop a plan for your own wellness, without judgment, is the goal. For people who are uncertain about their relationship to alcohol and other drugs, we can explore this together without the expectation for abstinence. I understand people ebb and flow with their use and not everyone needs to give it up to recover from problematic use. Families of people who use drugs often feel scared and powerless, but you are powerful, you can make a difference.
This therapy group is intended for those who have discovered their neurodivergence as adults and would benefit from processing and sharing with others in a similar position. Themes are :your discovery journey, authenticity and impacts of masking, impacts of trauma, internalized ableism, living in a world not designed for us, and (re-)designing a life you love. The facilitator is Angela Konin, LSW. A stim-friendly space !
