Every day, I talk to women whose lives are full but not fulfilling. They’ve reached their goals but now feel stagnant. They have social interactions that remain at the surface level so they often feel alone and unsupported. They spend their energy taking care of other people but they have lost connection with themselves. Imagine what would it be like to surround yourself with a group of women who get it, who listen to you, who want to support you and celebrate you— Sounds awesome, right? Becoming a parent creates a huge shift our identities and our relationships.
I believe that psychotherapy and coaching are gifts you give yourself. For the past 25 years, I have helped countless competent, well-educated people whose lives, while "good on paper," are unsatisfying. They feel empty despite successes and have difficulties maintaining healthy relationships with loved ones. My clients feel stuck in their lives and want to make productive changes. I help them examine the ways they repeat the patterns which only lead us to disappointment. I can help you identify these roadblocks to happiness and guide you to create the life you want and deserve.

Parenting children who do not fit the mold preferred by schools, commercial spaces, and even extended families, can be daunting. No wonder parents feel isolated, exhausted, even despaired. This group will provide support, psycho-education, understanding and safety to parents of children on the spectrum and other developmental disorders. Parents will help each other disentangle feelings that get in the way of healthy parenting, and strategize better ways of being, including advocating for institutional changes to serve the community as a whole. Group will meet on-line until such a time when it feels safe to start meeting in person.

I help clients with interpersonal relationships, career stressors, marital conflict, infertility, and parenting.
Sometimes life throws us challenges that seem insurmountable. A loved child diagnosed with autism, a spouse who seems out of sync with us, problems with school or work, worries about the future... I have more than 20 years' experience working with children, teens and adults, and helping them improve the quality of their lives. My approach is rooted on psychodynamic psychotherapy, and I provide a warm and caring environment that promotes growth and emotional fulfillment. The goal is to help my clients live a more authentic life, improved honesty, empathy, and playfulness.
Learn new techniques and perspectives on parenting while strengthening your bond with your children. With 20+ years working with children and families, my area of expertise is in the field of parenting and attachments.
Relationships are one of the most difficult parts of our lives. The relationships we have with our families, our children, our partners are guided by the elements we were conditioned to believe were effective. Even when they proved otherwise. If you struggle with relationship your youth, loved one, partner, or yourself then I may be the right person for you. Therapists are different individuals with different set of skills. Finding the right one is sometimes the hardest part outside of accepting therapy as a needed service. Because of this, I am part of an extremely strong network that will connect you with the right provider.

Children and teens often shut down or act out when they are struggling and do not have the skillset to express themselves in healthy ways, which can leave a parent lost as to what is happening with their child and what to do.
Through developing a strong rapport with the family, utilizing skills from CBT and DBT to effectively cope with stressors, and prescribing creative exercises, families who I work with that are committed to making changes will report "things do get better".

Parenting Support Groups
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.
When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.
How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.
Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
