Nature-Based Group Therapy

This group will offer therapeutic support for participants to engage in the natural world and experience the healing that connecting with nature can inherently create. Tenets of nature therapy include emphasizing connection (to self, others, earth), mindfulness (sensory awareness in nature), holism (integrating mind-body-spirit), resilience/growth (stress reduction, emotional regulation, self-discovery), and fostering a reciprocal relationship with the environment to support both personal well-being and planetary health. Each week of this workshop will rely on these tenets while offering participants the opportunity to explore activities like mindfulness, somatic exploration, intentional nature walks, story telling/sharing, and nature-based art projects.
