Mothers of Divorce
Are you a parent of a tween or adolescent who is managing the special dynamics of a divorced or blended family? Could you use the support of others who understand what you're going through? Our groups meet weekly, are run by two experienced and dedicated Marriage and Family Therapists who can provide support, insight, humor, skills, and perspective to help you and your child. Through group dialogue, special topics, mindfulness, resiliency practices, and improved communication skills, we seek to help you and your family feel connected, understood, and able to meet the particular challenges and potential of your family.

Children of Divorce/Joint Custody/Two Homes
Co-led with Christine Mourad, MA. Support for adolescents managing specific challenges inherent in divorced, blended, and two-home families. Group provides peer support to normalize issues, and professional leadership guiding teens in a safe, developmentally appropriate manner. We'll practice problem solving in an emotionally supportive and safe environment. Opportunities to talk about struggles; improving better relationships at home, school, and with other peers. Adolescents can practice empathy, listening skills, and acceptance. Strategies in the group will include Mindfulness practices, group dynamics, problem solving, skill building, music and art, goal setting, self-regulation and calming techniques to strengthen resiliency.
