As a Black cis woman, my own journey to licensure proved difficult to find supervision where I felt safe sharing my lived experiences of oppression in dominant white spaces, norms that are persistent in our current system. One of the greatest passions I bring to my group facilitation is creating spaces that honor our many layers including race, gender, sexuality. I am offering ongoing individual and group supervision for clinicians pursuing their licensure. If you are looking for individual or group supervision that is not interested in hierarchies or status-quo, but an opportunity to genuinely be supported, challenged and have guidance through this process.

In an increasingly lonely and disconnected world where apathy and avoidance are difficult experiences to move past, learning the skill of re-connection, even in the midst of conflict and differences is essential. This group provides a space to reach past what divides us and keeps us isolated and alone and offers practice caring together.

Anxiety by definition is "fear of the unknown." These are uncertain times and those with specific political leanings are often in conflict with others who do not share the same views. We need only open our social media feeds. It can sow division between family, friends, and loved ones leading to isolation and feelings of loneliness and resentment. This group will provide you with the opportunity to explore your anxieties and frustrations with others without fear of judgment. Careful consideration has been made to ensure a safe, supportive environment, as groups are party-specific, closed, and capped at 8 members.

This is a DBT group of 8-10 participants, currently meeting in a hybrid format- some participants attend in person, and some attend virtually. Each group sessions focuses on practicing mindfulness and reviewing a new DBT skill each week. Group members give support to each other, although this is not an in-depth "process group". Instead, the group focuses on members practicing DBT skills to improve their lives and manage life's stressors.

This therapy group is for adults who have experienced harm, confusion, or loss related to religion, spirituality, or faith-based communities. Religious trauma can shape one’s sense of self, relationships, nervous system, and ability to trust their own inner voice—often without clear language to describe it. This group offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore these experiences, understand the systems that influenced them, and reconnect with personal values, agency, and self-compassion. Participation does not require rejecting religion or spirituality; the group centers choice, consent, and each person defining what healing and meaning look like for them.

In-person experiential group starting August 19, 2025. Join anytime. You will learn somatic skills, mindfulness techniques, and specific movement exercises, which can be used to increase awareness and to help you feel more grounded and embodied. We will also use the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model to help you connect with your “True Self”, and the peace and wisdom that come with it. In each session, a new somatic/mindfulness skill will be introduced. With playful curiosity, we will try the new the skill (sometimes individually and sometimes in groups) and will share our experiences related to the exercise.

Trauma and PTSD Support Groups
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
