Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Skills
Mindfulness based practices assist people to lower stress, mood related struggles, and acquire skills that increase a present moment focus. The outcome of these skills includes an increase in self-awareness, awareness of one's world, and an ability to cope more effectively rather than react and getting lost in the waves of emotions when stressed. Group sessions are highly experiential. Members will have weekly exposure to mindfulness based skills. Members will be encouraged to integrate these practices into daily living and discuss these experiences with the group.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy Group
The Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group is a skill building group. There are four DBT skill sets: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. They will have weekly exposure to mindfulness skills. They will also weekly exposure to one of the four DBT skill sets. The group environment provides a safe place to learn skills and apply them to situations experienced in life. As a result of integrating DBT skills into daily life, individuals increase their ability to engage in self-regulation and live life within a safe window of tolerance.
