Having worked in the addiction field for a number of years, I have come to believe that mindfulness can be an incredible tool for individuals to enhance their recovery. It helps them gain a better awareness of themselves and how they are triggered, and in turn, gives them the ability to have more control of their decision making and reactions. The MBRP group is an empirically researched 8 week curriculum, that teaches individuals to use mindfulness most effectively. I have been trained in facilitating this group and have seen it help individuals flourish in their recovery.
