Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention
Designed to heal the root cause of addiction, the mind, this group utilizes mindfulness techniques derived from Buddhist practice to stabilize the mind and increase insight into patterns of thinking that reinforce the cycle of the suffering that comes from addiction. Group members will learn skills to manage urges to engage in compulsive behaviors, deal with obsessive thoughts, and to allow uncomfortable emotions to arise without needing to escape discomfort.
