Mindfulness and Stress Reduction for Teens
Teen years are particularly stressful and anxiety filled. No longer a child, but not yet an adult, there are so many changes that are happening in a teens world: social pressures, role changes, and brain changes. Part of the brain are actually shut down temporarily while others are ramped up. The result--rampant emotional overwhelm! Mindfulness is a proven way to help teens to change their brain architecture resulting in better emotional balance, better focus, and better control. This group is an education and process group which teaches teens skills that will be valuable now and throughout their lives.
