Mindful Eating for Weight Loss Group

New group starting February 13, 2025. Focus of this group is to increase awareness and connection to our bodies. We will be using Somatic and Mindfulness techniques, and IFS to help us become aware of our inner conflicts around food, and to tap into our body's intuitive wisdom. Once our underlying needs/emotions are addressed, we will no longer need food for comfort/distraction and can more easily change our eating habits. Support will also be given (as needed) to build healthy lifestyle habits. Each participant will have an opportunity to share their experiences and insights in each session.

Somatic Skills and Mindfulness Group

Next in-person experiential group is starting February 4th, 2025. You will learn somatic skills, mindfulness techniques, and specific movement exercises, which can be used to increase awareness and to help you feel more grounded and embodied. We will also use the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model to help you connect with your “True Self”, and the peace and wisdom that come with it. In each session, a new somatic/mindfulness skill will be introduced. With playful curiosity, we will try the new the skill (sometimes individually and sometimes in groups) and will share our experiences related to the exercise.
