MIND & HeART Groups-Cognitive Behavioral Art
The MIND & HeART Groups utilize art and crafts projects to facilitate learning positive thinking, self-value, and to improve self-esteem. In these groups, children enjoy the interaction with their new friends and practice social skills. They will learn that there is fun to be had when not on an ipad or phone! An 8 week commitment is required. Ages 6-8 meet at 5:00 pm and ages 8-12 meet at 6:00 pm for 45 minute groups.

Building Social Skills Groups
Texas Art & Play Therapies is proud to offer two different groups for children ages 6 - 12. The Building Social Skills Group utilizes peer support, therapeutic intervention, and practice to help build friendships and build self-esteem using LEGO(r) and other activities including acting, drawing, and crafting with wood. This group is empirically proven to be a successful in helping children to demonstrate improved social skills. Group for ages 6-8 begins at 5:00 pm and ages 8-12 begin at 6:00 pm each Thursday. A minimum commitment of 8 weeks is required.
