This group is for people who identify as transgender and are 18-35. The group meets every second Saturday at 1pm at Advanced Counseling and Therapy Services. Come and speak with like minded people about the unique struggles and joys that are experienced by adults who identify as transgender. Being trans in the transphobic society we live in is stressful and difficult. This group brings trans adults together to cathartically speak about societal marginalization, and clients will learn about many differing topics related to being transgender. Coping skills, breathing techniques, and mindfulness skills will all be explored in this group. Cost is $10 per person.

My passion is working with couples. I have diverse life experiences & trainings that allow me to support those who have felt oppressed, misunderstood, or under-represented due to their gender, sexual orientation, age, race, ethical non-monogamy, kink preferences, career choices, (in)fertility, etc. Passions of mine include working with couples & also supporting folx navigating gender transition. I'm also passionate about helping people looking for support through their (in)fertility/adoption/family planning journey or premarital work.

My therapeutic intervention is looking at the past as necessary in making changes for the future. I'm certain that any unwanted behavior can be unlocked by recognizing the purpose or wanted outcome for said behavior and my passion is helping you identify that unmet need and make healthy changes. I enjoy working with clients that are willing to do things outside of the therapeutic office setting such as writing, art, and/or practicing skills learned, and then reporting back in session the helpfulness of each strategy.
