Support Groups in Laurel, MD
These periodic workshops are for women interested in connecting with other psychologically-minded women to enhance interpersonal relationships, release old stories that no longer serve and create new narratives to inspire and uplift us. With the powerful modality of psychodrama, we create strong and supportive connections and experience psychological healing and growth. Contact me at cathynugent@verizon.net for further information.

I specialize in working with people with a history of trauma, offering several powerful therapeutic modalities to provide relief, recovery, and deep healing. I am also effective helping with anxiety, depression, and difficult life transitions. Many people come to me after they have gone as far as they can in traditional talk therapy, wanting to explore a more body-based, creative, and experiential approach. I bring extensive training and expertise, along with 35+ years of professional experience. In addition to psychodrama, I now offer Ketamine-assisted therapy. I work with individuals, couples and groups.
This group is a two day workshop for married married couples dealing with issues of betrayal and managing forgiveness. Couples will explore their emotions and issues of trust, betrayal, infidelity, intimacy issues, and learn coping skills around forgiveness, anxiety, and other relationship problems. Couples learn and practice communication techniques, how to solve the solvable problems and learn healthy coping skills to work through the perpetual problems that may have led to betrayal. Couples will also be guided on rebuilding their love map using the Gottman theory on betrayal to help them to reconnect and strengthening their marriage/relationship.

I enjoy working with individuals and couples who are uncertain but ready and willing to do the work to solve the solvable problems and learn the tools to cope with those that are more complex. Clients/Couples who are opened and willing to receive insight and another perspective are likely to have the ability to be aware of both their contribution to the problem and its solution; and are invested in addressing their behavior. They are also more willing to consider new ideas and be open to new ways of solving problems. Does this sound like you? If so, I would love to take this journey with you. Together we can unpack and process.
