Landisville Adoptive/Foster Parent Support Group
Parenting children from hard places is a different experience few understand. As an adoptive/foster parent you may feel alone, judged, and misunderstood. Our group provides psychoeducation and support to foster/adoptive parents and is led by an experienced Adoptive Parent. This is a place you will be understood and cared for in your journey. We meet monthly in person and have locations in Landisville and Harrisburg. If you receive SWAN services, your participation may be at no cost to you. Contact Elaine@mohinfo.com for more information

Etown Foster/Adoptive Parent Support Group
Elaine Shenk, Adoptive Parent, leads this group located at Etown Brethren in Christ Church at 996 E High Street Elizabethtown, PA 17022 on the First Tuesday of the month from 6:30-8. Cost is $20 per adoptive parent, or utilizing SWAN Unit of Service. Free for Foster Parents. RSVP by the Thursday before. This group will focus on supporting parents raising children from hard places and those who were adopted or are in foster care. Groups focus on various topics provided by the leader as well as general group discussions. RSVP to Elaine@mohinfo.com or to ask additional questions.

Harrisburg Foster/Adoptive Parent Support Group
Elaine Shenk, Adoptive Parent, leads a support group at Harrisburg Brethren in Christ 2217 Derry St, Harrisburg, PA 17104 This support group meets the Second Thursday of the month, starting January 8th. 2026 6:30pm - 8:00pm $20/couple or SWAN unit of service. Foster parents are free. Childcare available for 5th grade on down, $5 per child - let Elaine know by the Sunday before group if childcare is needed.
