Honoring Loved Ones (Kids grieving)
Children ages 6-10 who have experienced a significant loss (of family member, close friend, pet) come together to grieve and mutually support peers in similar circumstances; using play, art making and mindful movement. With Dr. D’s facilitation, children express their feelings related to the loss, celebrate the memories of departed loved ones, and integrate the loss as part of their lives. Participants may have experienced the loss either recently or at any time in the past. 6 sessions, 55 min, for $800. Kids ages 6-10.

Introvert Kids with Social Anxiety
Children ages 6-10 of introverted temperament come together to form supportive friendships, cope with social anxiety, and practice social skills; through play, art making and mindful movement. With Dr.D’s facilitation, children become aware of the strengths of introverts, cope with social anxiety, and practice friendship skills, such as initiating/exiting interactions, joining groups, resolving conflicts and responding to teasing. This group is appropriate for children who experience social anxiety or separation anxiety, or have been formally evaluated for Autism Spectrum Disorder, in level 1 (not 2 or 3). 6 sessions, 55 min for $800. Children 6-10.

Kids of Divorced/Aeparated Parents
Children ages 6-10 who are separated from a primary caregiver meet and bond with peers in similar circumstances, using play, art making and mindful movement. Separation from caregiver could be due to parents’ divorce/separation, overseas work posting, military deployment, inability to be caregiver and others. With Dr. D’s facilitation and interaction with their peers, children will be supported to cope with the caregiver’s absence, and practice forms of strengthening their long-distance connection. 6 sessions, 55 min for $800.
