Healing Techniques: DBT Women's Group
In this 15 week psychoeducational group, you will learn the foundational principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) that can help you regulate emotions and become more effective in your behavior and interactions with others. Learning practical skills along 4 areas: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. We will start with a mindfulness practice facilitated by the group instructor, explanation of the specific week's skill focus, discussion of personal application for these skills, and a homework assignment to practice in order to be reviewed the following week.
