Girls with Grit & Grace (8th Grade and High School

This workshop empowers girls to build confidence, independence, and self-respect. Through guided discussion and skill-building, participants explore the unique social challenges girls face, including relationships, self-esteem, body image, communication, and advocacy. Girls will develop problem-solving skills, practice resilience, and strengthen their sense of self while learning how to lead with confidence rather than follow. Topics are thoughtfully tailored to the specific age group represented. Facilitated by Kathy Manganaro, LMHC. This group meets Thursdays at 5:30pm on a hybrid schedule, alternating weekly between in person at our Norfolk office and virtually.

Raising Girls with Grace & Grit: A Group for Moms
Parenting a teenage daughter can be both rewarding and challenging. Many moms want a closer bond but struggle to connect, while daughters may pull away, feeling misunderstood. Led by Kathy Manganaro, LMHC (and mom!), this supportive group offers space to share experiences and learn practical tools to strengthen the mother-daughter relationship. Drawing from her years running the Girls with Grace and Grit group for teens, Kathy helps moms improve communication, navigate conflict, and foster mutual understanding. Join other moms on the same journey—together we’ll explore how to raise strong, connected, resilient daughters with both grace and grit.
