Gender-Specific Advanced Recovery Groups
We believe that everyone is in recovery from something. And we recognize that traditional 12 step recovery does not always meet the needs of everyone. Or sometimes, people who are well-grounded in the 12-step model find themselves seeking more as an addendum to, rather than a substitute for traditional westernized spiritual paths. This group explores existing, but nontraditional approaches to recovery. We explore how Buddhist principles inform 2-step recovery, as well as other alternative recovery models. With stand-alone Men's and Women's groups, we find the depth of the group experience very rewarding!

DBT: Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy Group
Wisdom Tradition is excited to now offer a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) group, largely CBT skills-based group therapy. Research indicates it is highly effective in helping people who experience a variety of symptoms and behaviors associated with personality disorders, self-injury, suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and other mood disorders. You will learn specific skills that are broken down into four modules: mindfulness skills, distress tolerance skills, emotion regulation skills, and interpersonal effectiveness skills.
