Game Therapy for Teen Anxiety and Depression
Providing digital/online groups! Tabletop game therapy can challenge teens (13-17) to build social skills and address symptoms of social anxiety and/or depression. Through a person-centered approach, the group utilizes a combination of psychodrama, game-therapy, art-therapy, and role-play to help teens build self-confidence and discover self-worth. Under the direction of licensed clinician Joe Atanasio, PsyD, teens will engage in a problem solving game-adventure which encourages teem work, self-reflection, and overcoming personal fears.. Sessions are $60/per for a total of 10 weeks. Currently accepting Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance for group.

This group utilizes the table-top game Dungeons & Dragons to facilitate the building of social skills, assist in management of anxiety, and establish supportive relationships for feelings related to isolation and depression. Talk therapy, role-play, emotional sharing, and even some art therapy are all thrown into the mix for a unique immersive experience. Common therapy goals include developing communication and assertiveness skills, learning how to work in a team, and building personal emotional insight. $50 per session for 8-10 sessions.

Stress Management for Parenting Fathers
Being a dad can be stressful and anxiety provoking. Stress not only worsens mental health but often negatively impacts physical health as well. Practical ways to manage stress as well as find support in the words and experiences of other fathers is a great way to begin to gain relief. This open group provides a support network and focuses on developing parenting coping skills, building insight into stress triggers, incorporating mindfulness techniques, and explores how to engage more in self-care as a father while still being there for your family. The group will be starting in the Spring 2023 and meets in-person.
