The Adult Group was formed as our high school clients entered adulthood. This group aims to ease the transition out of high school and into other environments and adulthood. Skill building for forming relationships, work contacts and interviewing skills are taught and processed. Social outings are part of the group. This group also works to discourage and replace negative behaviors such as internet addiction and other dysfunctional processes. And most of all we have a great time in the process!

Middle school, need we say more? The transition from elementary to middle school is often a challenge. The group eases this transition through skill building, support and mutual caring. Organizational skills are also taught and shared. Our groups are for any child or teen on an IEP or 504 plan and or struggling with a neurological or social issue. We do not believe in separating anyone based on a disability classification

This in-person, therapist-led, group is designed specifically for women navigating ADHD. Together, we focus on building practical skills to manage time, improve focus, regulate emotions, and reduce feelings of being overwhelmed — while also creating space for understanding and connection with others who “get it”. Each session blends evidence-based strategies with real-life application, helping you move from frustration to confidence in your daily routines, relationships, and goals. Whether you’re wondering if this is you, or have been managing ADHD for years, all are welcome.

Entrepreneurship is very rewarding. It can also be lonely and stressful. Research has found that entrepreneurs experience more stress, anxiety and depression than non-business owners. This carefully curated group will give entrepreneurs a village of brilliant, connected peers who understand the unique challenges that business-owners face. Group members are asked to be transparent about how things are really going, both personally & professionally. You will learn how to maintain mental health while being a top performer, how to manage feelings of self doubt and loneliness, how to identify your blind spots, and how identify and overcome your limiting beliefs.

The ASP is a therapeutic martial arts-based program designed to benefit children, families, and schools. We focus on improving academic, behavioral, and emotional skills, and develop confidence and leadership to manage anxiety and remain poised under stress. The ASP has been life-changing for children in gifted, general, and special education--and an asset for families and teachers. Groups meet for one-hour sessions, twice weekly. On the surface, sessions resemble a martial arts class, but are far more than meets the eye. The program integrates elements of education, physiology, psychology, martial arts, neuroscience, and mindfulness.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.
How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.
Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.
How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
