You are well dressed, well spoken, well educated... appearing to have it all together. You step out feeling confident and looking successful, yet you are exhausted, drained and feel unappreciated. Overworked, overwhelmed, and stressed out. Stretched to the limit, trying to do it all. Neglecting yourself while caring for others. You struggle to prioritize time to create the best version of you. You are counting the hours until the house is quiet and you can have a glass of wine or two, or finish the leftover cake- Frustrated.

Historical wounds, spiritual wounds, father wounds, mother wounds, racism wounds, discrimination wounds, relationship wounds, all the wounds. Much like we protect and guard physical injuries, unconsciously, we protect internal wounds in our nervous system/brain/body. www.gracecommunitycounseling.com and click the retreats tab.

I believe that healing is based in connection. Your life experiences may have disconnected you from yourself for many reasons: depression, anxiety, trauma... My goal is to connect with you where and how you are and to help you build the connections you need to reach your goals. Most importantly, I want to help you connect with and trust yourself. Connection helps build courage to make change. To that end, I do my best to be authentic and transparent, and I focus on collaboration. I ask you to be as honest as possible with me and to be open to that connection. You are my most valuable expert.

There’s more to life than just working and caring for others. You struggled to build this life for yourself, but now there’s little joy in it. You feel disconnected, alone. You yearn to do more than just survive. You want to explore new parts of yourself, deepen your relationships, and find new energy for life. How can you get there when right now your plate is so full you’re barely making it through the day? Things can get better. I will walk with you through this time of awakening and help you refocus on your own needs as you journey toward the life you want. A life full of authenticity and connection.

I co-facilitate this group with Orion Crook, focusing on developing deep community relationships and exploring common therapeutic themes such as family or origin, anxiety/depression, connection, and living in late stage capitalism. The group alternates between open process sessions, which foster organic connection, and guided experiential work designed to encourage emotional shifts. Our sessions often incorporate experiential methods, including expressive arts therapy, somatic therapy, and psycho-education. This rotation allows group members to build trust and connection while engaging in meaningful personal and collective exploration. We seek a 3 month commitment for those entering the group (updated from 6 months on the flyer).

Together, we uncover a path towards wholeness, authenticity and empowerment. I collaborate with adults and teens by providing tools in session that can be applied outside the therapy space. Utilizing deep listening and experiential activities in therapy, we begin to notice changes at both the emotional and relational level. I work with those who experience anxiety, depression, spiritual/existential issues, relationship conflicts, trauma, or those longing to grow.

The Intention of the group is to help us learn how to embody our experiences through understanding the language of our nervous system. Our nervous system and our body stores a wealth of information which supports us in making informed decisions about how we engage in our lives. Through this group, you will learn to connect with your nervous system and decipher the information it consistently provides you. You will learn to support your nervous system through following and holding space for yourself in a kind and supportive way.
