You are well dressed, well spoken, well educated... appearing to have it all together. You step out feeling confident and looking successful, yet you are exhausted, drained and feel unappreciated. Overworked, overwhelmed, and stressed out. Stretched to the limit, trying to do it all. Neglecting yourself while caring for others. You struggle to prioritize time to create the best version of you. You are counting the hours until the house is quiet and you can have a glass of wine or two, or finish the leftover cake- Frustrated.

A sexual addiction can be defined as any sexually compulsive behavior that interrupts daily life activities and has an adverse effect on family, friends and work. One determining factor that identifies someone as a sex addict is if they use sex or sexually related activities as a way to alleviate feelings of anxiety, pain, loneliness, stress or disappointment. Instead of facing these emotional disturbances, sex fills the addict with a false sense of acceptance. Sexual addiction recovery group is of paramount importance for men seeking freedom from sexual brokenness.

This is a diverse virtual group for those identifying as female who have experienced trauma. The group is focused on how to cope today with previous trauma. We use elements of IFS, mindfulness, and interpersonal strategies. We meet on alternate Fridays from 9-10:30. We focus on such topics as boundaries, relationships, trust of self and others, managing symptoms (anxiety, depression, flashbacks, nightmares, etc.), communication, and self-advocacy. We do not compare pain. Everyone needs a place to feel safe and understood, and we try to make this group just such a place. Contact me if you are interested!

Ongoing, open group for adults (18+) who regularly engage in or are curious about Kinky/BDSM relationships. As we dabble in new, interesting and sometimes intense sensation experiences in BDSM all kinds of emotions can come up. Additionally communities, polycules, friends groups, munch groups, play groups can all experience intrapersonal conflicts and public events are rarely a helpful location to learn how to talk and feel our ways through. Many therapists and non-kinky friends don’t understand the unique experiences power dynamics (intentional and consensual as well as non-consensual) can create in these complex relationships. FREE to attend.

I value honest and thoughtful communication, which means I communicate in an attentive, supportive, compassionate, empowering, and non-judgmental manner while being authentic, direct, and transparent. Trauma and PTSD Support Groups
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.
How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.
What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.
Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
