My particular gift is in establishing a a therapeutic space where individual men and women, as well as adolescents and young adults, who are in pain or under stress, can feel safe and understood.
Many of my clients face life transitions, traumas, anxiety and depression, loss and grief, and spiritual crises, or the pain of a troubled relationship. I believe that therapy can be beneficial at some point in any person's life. So, I see my clients as fellow seekers rather than patients.

A group based on working along with others to discover alternatives to maladaptive ways of managing stress, resolving conflicts, communication. We work to become aware and then discover how to 'un-do' triggers that lead to undo stress and anxiety, promoting awareness in the present to manage life situations and transitions. Our group works to illuminate the ways to directly address issues as they emerge and avoid coping patterns that lead to sabotaging goals.

I treat anxiety, mood disorders, dysfunctional interpersonal patterns, personality disorders, addiction/recovery, and adult ADD, with adults who are over 21.
My practice focus helps individuals and couples work through challenges and conflict. Managing stress, anxiety/mood symptoms, addiction/recovery process, and interpersonal problems are the target areas of my practice. I also work with a range of problems that commonly accompany substance use. I facilitate "Recovery" - replacing old ways of coping by discovering alternatives in present life, achieving success that has seemed elusive. I utilize a Systems-Oriented approach to help discover new ways to relate/function, so we create new ways to be living a life that we truly want to live in.

An ideal client would be an individual seeking a better life and might be unable to connect the dots. This may include recovery from alcohol or drug use with a desire for long term recovery or attributes from growing up in an alcoholic environment. They may be married to an alcoholic. Their relationships have probably suffered and need repairing; they may not know where to start. Life seems overwhelming and even difficult. All that is needed is a desire and some willingness.
