Healing is a relational process in which therapist and client begin a journey of discovering the self through the therapist's creation of a place the client feels felt, seen, safe, understood, soothed, and secure. A womb is created in the room of therapy. This is a recreation of the mother-infant bonding and positive attachment that was lacking or inadequate. In this client-therapist relationship, healing is achieved through playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy.
Veteran's Support Group is a therapy process group offered in a hybrid format. Open to any Veteran who wishes to connect with others. There are no fees for this group. If the Veterans has Community Care, the group may be funded by the VA.

I am able to assist my clients in seeing patterns in their life story and work to identify and change core beliefs such as "I'm not good enough", "I'm defective" or "I cannot trust others."

Hello, hi, heyy, wut up, hola! My name is Kortney Ploski. I am the owner and lead therapist at Resilience Mental Health Services, Tampa. This 3-day workshop utilizes Pia Mellody's Post Induction Therapy to address the origins of adult dysfunctional behavior. The workshop is offered monthly and is limited to groups of 3-4 clients. In this revolutionary educational and experiential process, you will identify and address early childhood issues that have fueled problems in adult life. You will gain a clearer view of how your current life is impacted by childhood wounds. Experientially, you will connect to your "Inner Child" and begin the process of re-parenting. Toxic emotions carried from caregivers are released.
tPBM (Brain Light Therapy) has proven to help symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, sleep, ADHD, dementia, autism, TBI, Parkinson's, migraines and pain.
Combining 30 years experience with proven alternative methods, I hope to be your last therapist. My multi-modal approach may include EMDR, Counseling, Neurofeedback, tPBM (Brain Light Therapy) or Intensive Workshops and enables clients to receive needed services in one setting. My focus is to address the root cause of symptoms and issues. A non-judgmental environment allows clients to address core issues which may be leading to depression, anxiety, addictions or relationship problems. As clients move from reactivity to responsiveness or from victimization to empowerment, they are enabled to live their best lives.
People who have traumatic experiences are often alienated from others, living a life of isolation and loneliness. Women who have experienced childhood abuse or repetitive and extensive domestic violence struggle with trust and relational skills. Group sessions can support the development of social relational skills and a sense of belonging. Women coping with intense thoughts and feelings may not understand why they experience these debilitating emotions, often feeling like failures or abnormal. Communicating with others, this Group can give context and meaning to these experiences. The weekly sessions will reinforce the perspective that many symptoms experienced by women are normal reactions to abnormal occurrences.

I specialize in helping women recover from trauma by giving them mindfulness tools to begin to calm trauma symptoms, guiding them in their establishment of safe boundaries, and encouraging them as they begin to build healthy dynamics in their relationships.

"Lots of times people say, 'We want to get back to being the couple we once were.' But no, you really don't! Chances are, you don't want ANY part of that. More likely, you want to be something new—something better." As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) specializing in trauma, betrayal, compulsive sexual behavior and intimacy avoidance, Sharon knows that humans heal best through BEING, DOING, and PLAYING—not through sitting, planning and thinking. Sharon's favorite workdays involve watching clients move from being "stuck" in their heads to feeling "free" in their hearts. "That's when the miracles happen," she insists.

You can have a life that is not defined by anxiety, depression, shame, or loneliness. You can be brave and confident. You can value your own needs as much as you value others'. You can heal from growing up with emotionally-immature parents, harmful religious teachings/experiences, sexual abuse, trauma, and shame. My job is to guide you there. I love helping clients find their voice and increase their self-confidence. I help you identify the factors underlying your anxiety, trauma, and depression so you're not just trying to cope with them anymore, but can get to the root issues and have more of the life you want.

Developing resilience from crisis, trauma and grief requires above average commitment, a secure self-concept, and a purpose-driven philosophical approach to life. According to Wright (2011) "When youth are disillusioned by a crisis, they need to reestablish commitment bonds, increase their self-esteem and find purpose in life" (p. 403). Likewise, Floyd (2008) contends, "Identity development is thus a central task of adolescents, and it may be affected when a teen experiences a crisis or trauma" (p. 210). The foregoing nuances form some salient pillars to my group therapeutic sessions for both adolescent and adult communities.

Facilitated by a team of carefully selected, trained and supervised recovery coaches, our Men's Relationship Recovery Group provides clients with a unique and imperative approach to sex addiction recovery. With two online group sessions each week, our coaches help recovering sex addicts to integrate CORE's signature "we-ness" paradigm for sustainable emotional health and recovery, with focus on four key areas: trauma, betrayal, compulsive sexual behavior and intimacy avoidance. Unlike many recovery programs, CORE invites men to prioritize and integrate their loved ones' safety and healing (aka relational work) into the very foundation of their recovery lifestyle.
