I believe in the power of therapy to bring about healing, self-discovery, growth, and positive change. I understand that seeking help for such personal and often painful issues can feel overwhelming. It is my mission to make this process as comforting as possible, providing a safe, non-judgmental space where you can openly explore and address your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
CBT-I will address sleep-related issues, specifically insomnia, as well as other mental health issues (e.g. anxiety, depression, trauma, symptoms of personality disorders) that are barriers to quality sleep or that lead to oversleeping during parts of the day not designated for "bedtime," therefore making it hard to sleep during anticipated bedtime. The cognitive part of CBT-I will address cognitions, emotions, and expectations about sleep/insomnia that can affect an individual’s quality of sleep. The behavioral part will address current sleep habits and introduce effective sleep habits (e.g. interventions). 8 sessions @ 90 min each session
