The effect of technology, social media, and post-pandemic new social norms, seem to be contributing to the challenges that young adults face in today’s social arena. This group is designed to promote self-awareness and develop communication skills that can help us become more effective and intentional in social and romantic relationships. Through validation, feedback, modeling of effective behaviors and education based on research, members will have the opportunity to interact and learn from one another.

Does your child have trouble dealing with their emotions? Is their behavior sometimes disruptive to your home life? Have they experienced sudden loss or trauma? As they grow, children and adolescents develop social skills and emotional intelligence. This awareness helps them to develop into healthy, happy, and successful individuals. But some children have trouble processing their emotions and this often leads to behavior that negatively impacts their school life, home life and overall well-being. Therapy offers children and adolescents a safe space to work through their thoughts and emotions.

Do you feel like you’re living on autopilot? Even when you try to rest, your body stays tense—tight chest, racing heart, always “on.” Conversations with others are rehearsed before they happen and replayed long after. It’s hard to be present, and even time with loved ones can feel exhausting. You find yourself constantly checking others’ moods, adjusting who you are to keep the peace. You’re drawn to the same types of relationships where you never feel fully seen. You just want to feel safe to be yourself—steady, secure, and at home in your own skin.
If you are potentially interested in group therapy, I would be more than happy to set up a consultation to tell you about this particular group, and the general benefits of group therapy. This group is for young adult women (approx age 19- 28), and is focused on self-esteem, depression, social isolation, anxiety, and relationship issues. Please let me know if you have any questions.
