First Responders

Psychology education group about mental health topics relevant to your career. We will review how human illness, death, suffering, stupidity, and property destruction exposures affect the human psyche, and how you can cope better with these experiences. We may also discuss vicarious trauma, Post-traumatic stress disorder, compassion fatigue, burnout, and how some of the politics and b.s. of the job may cause overwhelming stress (and how to use distress tolerance, emotion management, and mindfulness to get you through)!
