There’s nothing quite like the delirious joy that comes from caring for a newborn. For many of us, the “fourth trimester,” or first three months after labor and delivery, may be a time of joy, yes, but also uncertainty. We are exhausted to say the least, and yet we keep moving ahead, immersed in love, in our new role as parent. Fertility and More Kids Psychotherapy Group
People who experienced fertility challenges before becoming parents often say that thinking about having more children is too much. Now that we know how fragile it all is, it’s simply too painful to think that we may not become pregnant or sustain a pregnancy. Perhaps we're hesitating to call the fertility clinic. Maybe we're exhausted from trying to hold in tension both the hope of having another child and the fear of more loss.
