Insomnia effects millions of people and has an effect on health, daytime functioning, mood, weight fluctuations. Drug treatment is no longer considered appropriate for chronic insomnia because medications do not treat the underlying causes of insomnia. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is considered the most appropriate treatment for insomnia as it works to strengthen the sleep system and increase the likelihood sleep will occur. Dr. Hartwell brings you the effective evidenced-based intervention model researched by Gregg Jacobs, PhD and his colleagues at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Hartwell facilitates a 6 week program that consists of 5 two-hour group sessions. Program cost is $350.00
