Experiential Therapy Study Group

For Therapists: This is a group for clinicians who want to deepen their work with experiential theory and practice. The material draws from Person-Centered Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy Psychodrama, and the facilitator's two decades of conducting humanistic/experiential therapy. Each meeting includes lecture, discussion, and experiential practice. Join a supportive learning community and advance your skills and effectiveness. See also my Experiential Couples Therapy Study Group. These groups each meet every other week from 11am to 1pm on Thursdays and Fridays.

Balancing Acts
Starts September 22nd! We all have wants, but sometimes what we want is in conflict with the wants of others. Do we try to power through to get our own way? Do we simply give in to the other person’s wants? If we try to “compromise,” does it actually feel good to everybody — or to anybody? At other times, we’re in conflict with *ourselves*. We’re torn by wishes for mutually exclusive things and we'd really like someone to just come along and tell us which choice is “right.” Join with others to explore these challenges.

Empathy for Dudes
Starts September 16th. Empathy for Dudes is a group designed to help men develop better relationship skills, and expand their understanding of their own and others' thoughts, feelings and behavior. Increased emotional intelligence will help you in business, romance, friendship, parenting, and being a good member of your community. The group aims to help men to become more empathic, but it's also about ensuring that men *receive* understanding. Not only because everyone deserves it, but because you need to experience what it feels like to receive empathy in order to fully understand what it's all about.
