About
Whether therapy is your first step toward change or one of the last options you've considered, getting the support you need takes courage and strength. Finding a good fit is an important step.
My approach to therapy is tailored to your needs. I'll provide a safe, non-judgmental, and honest atmosphere for expressing your concerns. I'll honor your lived experiences, values, and cultures while exploring your strengths and struggles. We'll collaborate to uncover your personal meaning, hopes for the future, and the tools that would best help you to cope with what's bothering you.
We'll use our relationship to help you understand yourself and to build more satisfying relationships with yourself and others. While therapy can sometimes be a difficult and serious process, there are ways to incorporate creativity and humor, and we will definitely celebrate your successes.
I work with adolescents & adults who experience a wide range of concerns. I have additional expertise in treating disordered eating and trauma. I also have expertise in working with people who identify as queer, bisexual, lesbian, gay, asexual, transgender, and/or genderqueer; experience gender dysphoria; are in gender transition.

Eating Disorders Process Group
The Eating Disorders Process Group is a process group for adult women who are motivated in their recovery from disordered eating. Weekly meetings provide a safe and confidential space for exploring thoughts, feelings, and experiences related to healing, emotional expression, relationships, communication, and self-care. Group members receive support and challenge regarding disordered eating in a growth-promoting atmosphere where they gain skills related to communication, healthy relationships, addressing distressing thoughts, mindfulness, self-compassion, and emotional coping. This group is co-facilitated by Cara Arndorfer, PhD and Debbie Glander, LMFT. Please contact me for more details.
