Eating Disorder and Overcontrol Skills Group

Radically-Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT) is an evidence-based treatment approach aimed towards treating disorders of overcontrol, where individuals exhibit a level of self-control that interferes with their ability to function effectively, connect with others, and be flexible when needed. RO-DBT has been found to be helpful for several diagnoses including chronic depression, anorexia nervosa, OCD, treatment-resistant anxiety, autism spectrum disorders, and maladaptive perfectionism. RO-DBT Skills class is a structured 30-week group that meets for 90 minutes focusing on building three core components: Receptivity and Openness, Flexible-control and Intimacy and social-connectedness.
