
Themes and issues related to identity, grief and loss, ambivalent loss, personal meaning, the critical voice, body image and body image narratives, self-compassion, shame resilience work, and explorations of trauma and family of origin issues. Blending narrative therapy, mindfulness, self-compassion techniques, and shame resilience work, the group will use a variety of different writing activities, readings, meditations, music meditations, art, journaling, group discussion, process work, and skill building. The group will support group members in developing concrete skills, including radical self-acceptance, emotion regulation techniques, Seeking Safety skills, mindfulness, and coping skills to support their authentic voice.
