Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group helps participants manage emotions, cope with stress, and improve relationships. The 20-week educational and supportive program that meets weekly for one hour. The group helps adults build practical skills needed for greater independence, stability, and confidence. Topics may include budgeting, banking, cooking, nutrition, personal hygiene, household management, communication, relationships, problem-solving, time management, organization, transportation, employment readiness, and community resources. Sessions focuses on a different life skill through instruction, discussion, real-life examples, and practical activities. Participants practice new skills, share experiences, and set achievable goals. Program supports better decision-making, increased self-sufficiency, reduced stress, and healthier, more productive daily routines at home and in the community.
