CTC Middle School Social Emotional Support Group

This therapeutic Social Emotional Support Group for Middle Schoolers focuses on increasing self-awareness, social awareness, responsible decision making, self-management and relationship skills. Clients with brief attention spans, poor impulse control, low frustration tolerance, poor anger management, limited self-expression, poor peer relating skills and challenges taking responsibility for their actions can benefit from this group. Goals such as improving mood, decreasing anxiety and practicing effective coping skills are also addressed. Movement activities, board games, drawing, expressive therapy and role playing are incorporated into the sessions.. CBT, Mindfulness, Progressive Relaxation Exercises and DBT techniques are utilized.

Women's Virtual Support Group

This Women's Support Group will meet virtually every other week to address the challenges of adulthood, parenting, marriage, work life and everyday stressors. Women who struggle with anxiety, low mood, poor self-esteem and/or challenges asserting themselves may benefit from the supportive atmosphere. Challenging moments and celebrations in day to day life are shared. Coping mechanisms for emotional stressors are explored. Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, meditation and relaxation strategies are practiced and utilized.
