Coping with Children with Challenging Temperaments

This group will provide parents with support and strategies to help guide their interactions with children at home and in social settings. It will help them better understand and improve their relationships with children of varying temperaments including shy and anxious children, children who struggle with separation, attention seeking children, children with sensory sensitivities and children who have challenges with with emotional regulation. This group will respond to concerns about managing sleep, separations, sibling rivalry and limit setting and help you create a more rewarding parent-child relationship.

New Group forming: This supportive and structured group provides evidenced based Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) strategies to support older teens, college students and young adults who suffer from social anxiety. This group is not geared to individuals who are prone to self harm. Individuals will be screened to assess whether they are appropriate for this group. This group has been extremely successful in fostering coping strategies and promoting self awareness and self confidence
