Participants learn to cultivate the courage to be emotionally honest, to set boundaries, to allow themselves to be vulnerable, to learn to excersize self-compassion, and move with strength through their struggles, to nurture a sense the connection and sense of belonging that can happen when we let go of what we are supposed to be and embrace who we are! Star Group for Middle School Girls
Group addresses the unique needs of middle-school girls and through: art, journaling, and processing with peers. Issues addressed will include: Self-image, expoloring thoughts, hopes, & dreams, the importance of establishing healthy friendships and recognizing areas in friendship which require boundaries, leadership skills, and managing emotions. This group will use a Biblical perspective and welcomes all girls. This group runs for 6 weeks with an introduction session a parent/guardian is required to attend. Please email for further details. Communication Strategies for Parenting
Groups runs for 6 weeks. The goal of this group is to provide practical, down-to-earth methods to give parents and caregivers the know-how they need to have a less stressful and far more rewarding relationship with children of all ages (from toddlers to teens). Learn how to: Engage your child's willing cooperation- Deal with your child's negative feelings-frustration, disappointment, anger-Express your anger without being hurtful-Set firm limits and still maintain goodwill-Use alternatives to punishment that promote self-discipline-Encourage positive relationships between your children-Resolve family conflicts peacefully
