I want to be most helpful to people in relationship with one another, whether that is in a family or a couple. Humans are relational beings and when our closest relationships are not healthy it can effect every aspect of our lives. I work with couples who want to find what was lost, repair deep pain or hurt, or learn how to better understand each other's needs and how to communicate with one another. I work with individual clients as well who want to learn more about themselves and how they can gain mastery over the circumstances of life that have weighed them down. We all want to feel seen and heard by our loved ones.

Hi there! My name is Bre and I am glad that you’re here, taking this step to find support. I am just a human like you, who is honored by learning about the unique stories of others. I believe that we are all fellow travelers in this life and we can learn from each other, grow through authenticity and that our greatest chance at a purposeful life has everything to do with our relationships to ourselves and others. Therapy is hard, and it can be scary at times, but it can also offer a safe haven to explore your needs, goals and whole self without judgement.
Many adults struggle with experiences of social isolation which can make life transitions, stressors and other challenges that much more impactful. I am hosting a group to create support for adults navigating a variety of life stressors in order to build community, practice social/relational skills, and put into practice skills which you may have learned in individual therapy. Groups will begin in September 2024 and will span 8-10 weeks. If you are interested in joining a group you can reach out to me for a free consultation.

The process of going through therapy can feel daunting to many, and even just starting may feel like the hardest part. The good news is that you do not have to go through this process alone. I believe that the cornerstone of therapy is the relationship formed between clients and their therapist. An authentic therapeutic relationship is built upon being empathetic, genuine and present with clients. I work through a client-centered framework and incorporate techniques from CBT and DBT to help clients gain insight into themselves and learn new skills that can be applied through life’s many hardships and triumphs.

Right now I do not have any groups going on. When I find enough members I will begin a general purpose group along the lines of the one written about in my popular memoir, Baltho, The Dog Who Owned a Man, about my rescue Afghan Hound, Balthazar, Baltho, who served for years as my co-therapist. He's come back for the third incarnation with me, this time as Melchior. You can read the fascinating story on my website www.thomasrameywatson.com. It can be all women, all men, or mixed genders and orientations, etc.
Your mind, body, & spirit are important components of a good life. I work with relationships, abuse, bullying, developing a strong and healthy sense of self, sex & gender, & spirituality. Having had a number of experiences with loss and the survival of the soul, I also do lots of grief and hope work over the passing of beloved animals and people. I find that this helps people with anxiety, especially important in our time. I am fully supportive of various orientations and paths to fulfillment, aware of the roles that class, race, and gender play in our lives. Most of all, I want you to find your true self, not a mask imposed on you.
