Changing Families Group
Separation and Divorce can be confusing for children. How to process their emotions of disbelief, anger, saddness and acceptance is important for future healthy development. Sharing in a group is safe and lets children know they are not alone. It builds self-esteem, confidence, and acceptance that families are all okay.

Social Skills Group
The goal of a social skills group is to help children build their social deficits that impact their academic performance in school, as well as their social relationships. Children and teens who have social skills deficits often have good decoding skills, but lack comprehension. They don't understand inferential and abstract ideas and language. Social Skills groups focus on developing social interactions: The ability to think about others, observe what they are doing and predict what they will do next, learn to respond appropriately, getting an idea how social interactions are organized, and determining feelings of others (empathy).

Adult Social Group
In this warm and supportive therapeutic environment with a social skill specialist, adults ages 18 and up, who experience difficulty making friendships and maintaining relationships can find new ways to make connections. Social relationships are tricky for many people; finding the right connections and not feeling alone and isolated is often as result. Here we have a supportive environment where discussion can take place about the social challenges people are experiencing. This group will meet once a week, with a minor participation fee. Open enrollment.
