When life gets messy, we come together. This is an open-minded, non-judgemental space where members can get curious about their relationship with drugs & alcohol. We’re taught to see substance use as the problem, when it’s often an attempted solution to deeper challenges. Together, members will take a closer, more compassionate look at what’s really driving their use & get clear on what they want for themselves — defining goals that are shaped by their own desires, not just external expectations. From safer use, to cutting back, to targeted or complete abstinence, all goals are welcome & respected.

This virtual group is a psychoeducation & support group for young adults who struggle with addictive behavior. The age range is 16-25 years old, but we can be flexible depending on the situation. This is a great meeting for those who do not resonate with the 12-step program or who are want to learn harm reduction techniques. We decided to create this group because the recovery community does not have a space for this age group. This often leaves them to end up in groups/meetings with older individuals who they do not relate to as much.

I specialize in addiction treatment from a non 12-step approach, but I work with people where they are at and use harm reduction techniques.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based approach designed to reduce emotion dysregulation, impulsive behavior, self-harm and suicidal ideation, and treat other mental health or behavioral issues. The goal of DBT is to help teens change ineffective behavior patterns by learning skills that will help them reach their goals. Our programs include four DBT skills groups a week that cover core mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Teens learn a new DBT skill in each group. Our staff help teens practice these skills so that they know how to use them in their daily lives.
