For South Asian & Middle Eastern Women. How do Eastern women return to richness of our culture, especially with the western influence infiltrating world wide? How do we release what wasn't working for us as Eastern women, but reclaim the goodness that we experienced from our traditions? Often the goodness is forgotten by us, as we "threw out the baby with the bath water". If you would like to explore and ignite again what is YOURS and find your own unique path back to your richness and beauty, join us for this introductory online workshop. www.ruchikamehta.com/sign-up.

This circle is a co-created space, a container to explore the internal landscapes that were explored through psychedelic medicine space. Whether this exploration was recent or in the past, in a circle, individually, with a partner, or in a group, with a guide, solo, or facilitated. Psychedelic experiences need and take time to integrate the psyche and the spirit through the soma. An interview is necessary prior to entry into the group to increase safety.

Topics we will explore are: Meditation practices, understanding spirituality as a resource and as a defense, the somatic self, the Essential domain, nondual dimensions, attachment strategies and their impact on the spiritual experience. Call for more information: 415-460-5393.

Throughout history, women have gathered in sacred circles. Be it around a fire in prehistoric times, within hushed monasteries of the Middle Ages, in consciousness-raising groups in 1970’s living rooms, or online groups in the digital age, women have long congregated to laugh, share, heal, grieve, and spiritually connect in community. In such gatherings, women can experience a deep authenticity within themselves – a truth or ‘realness’ that is often lacking as we tend to our day-to-day lives and its multitude of roles and responsibilities. Join me weekly to connect together in a safe, sacred space.

Stress, being emotionally overwhelmed and pain are uninvited guests in our daily lives; however, they are part of the human condition. Stress and pain may have you feeling irritable, tense, depressed and anxious, which impacts your entire life. The KEY to regaining balance is responding to these stressors with mindful, non-judgmental awareness. Impossible? Research has shown that mindfulness-based approaches to healing the body and mind are highly effective and can even change our brain.

Are you under the spell of self-abandonment, of overworking, over-caretaking? Have you been crowned Queen of Self Denial? We have been conditioned to fear self-attunement and to embrace self-abandonment. Maybe it’s time to play with mythic symbols like Frankenstein, Dumbling and the Ant and the Grasshopper to challenge the cultural taboo against “selfishness.” By creating our own fairy tales we can listen to what our symptoms are trying to tell us, and break that spell of self-abandonment to reclaim the lost treasures of our true needs. Join us in May 2023 for 6 sessions

While therapists do not recommend or prescribe psychedelic treatments, we are able to provide emotional support around the preparation and integration of psychedelic experiences. While Ketamine assisted therapy has already become a legal treatment in the united states, other treatments are not yet legal or recommended by the FDA. This group is a space to prepare for upcoming journeys and integrate altered states of mind with holotropic breathwork, ketamine assisted therapy work, and medicine journeys. Psychotherapy groups are confidential and intimate spaces to explore the unconscious mind and to make conscious what may arise. Check www.biancaaarons.com/integration-group.

"Tending the Fire Within:" A depth and intimacy-oriented group where we embrace and explore issues that men often find themselves struggling with. We share and learn to work with our anger, shame, loneliness, fear, grief and sense of power in order to create lives with more passion and connection. By supporting each other's experience, we dive more deeply into our own unique expression of masculinity and learn how we can feel more alive by holding our issues with compassion and heart. This group is co-facilitated by Jordan Wolfe.

Spirituality Support Groups
What should I expect from therapy that incorporates a focus on spirituality?
Spirituality can mean different things to different individuals, depending on their experiences, beliefs, and life histories. Some individuals focus on strengthening their belief system, while others experience spirituality in secular ways, such as through meditation, yoga, or by spending time in nature. Clients can expect a therapist to help guide and grow their spirituality through any of these techniques, encouraging the individual to cope with the challenges they face and develop strategies to build resilience and purpose to improve their outlook in life.
What are the most common treatments that include spirituality?
There are several treatments that incorporate spirituality. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) helps a person examine and reframe their negative thoughts and behaviors. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) focuses on emotional acceptance and psychological flexibility. Existential therapy is most often used to address anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, apathy, despair, questions of identity, and feelings of purposelessness and existential dread. Transpersonal therapy focuses on a client’s spirituality and meaning in life and may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork.
Can therapy incorporating spirituality help atheistic or agnostic individuals?
Yes. For non-believers, spirituality can offer benefits including a greater sense of connection to others and to the natural world. An interest in spirituality may also spur individuals to pursue mindfulness practices, or to contemplate their purpose in life and how to achieve it.
How effective is spirituality as a therapeutic remedy?
Research suggests spirituality is generally beneficial for individuals. It is correlated with better health habits, such as less substance use, and an improved capacity to cope with stress and other mental health challenges. Increased spirituality can lead individuals to become more empathic and less materialistic, as well.
