I am humbled as I grow both personally and professionally while learning the depth of the human condition. We are all going through something. I enjoy treating couples and adult individuals that are wanting to deepen their inner awareness and have an expressed desire to connect further within their intimate relationships. The couple relationship, the way in which we emotionally connect, express ourselves, and grow, is one of the hardest but most rewarding things someone can commit to. Being vulnerable enough to allow both yourself and others to love you is hard, but also the birthplace of fulfillment, compassion, and empathy.
[ON HIATUS - Email for next start date] We meet online via video. Cost $30/session. Purpose of this group is to create a supportive, non-judgmental and safe environment for women diagnosed with infertility. It will include the following topics: 1. Psycho-education on ambiguous grief and loss 2. Tools for emotional regulation 3. Emotion processing and expression.

Are you feeling overwhelmed with all that you have to do? Are you struggling to maintain your relationships? Does a balanced life seem like a far fetched dream? As someone who has had to balance multiple cultures, I know what it can feel like to straddle more than one. I want to help you find your balance between the "two worlds" of what is important to you and your family without taking away from who you are. I will work with you to tap into your inner voice, channel your strengths and become the most fulfilling version of yourself. I also provide Immigration evaluations for VAWA, Extreme Hardship, Asylum and U Visa.

We all want to feel better from time to time. We get stuck, sad, scared, alone. And right now during these uncertain times, many of us are struggling. Well, there is good news! The field of psychology, through research in neuroscience, has uncovered new powerful and effective ways that really work to build our resilience, improve our lives and relationships, and help us feel more connected and alive. I want to help you experience all of that. You just need to reach out, which is hard. I promise you though, if you take that step, you will feel better.
I run a group periodically in which up to seven men get together to talk about their challenges and how to find solutions, without the pressure of outside influences. The next begins January 30, 2019. If you're interested, reach out. Let's talk.

Who am I? I've been married for 20+ years. My wife and I have a teenage son. I'm personable, friendly and like to laugh. I talk and ask questions. I won't sit silently and wait for you to talk. I won't say, "How does that make you feel?" I've been told that I'm a "normal guy." Who are you? Someone who wants to feel better? Or wants your teenager to talk to someone? Or wants to be happier and more secure in your committed relationship? Let's keep it simple and work together to find solutions. Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.
How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.
What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
