An 3-month structured group for Christian men (or open to Christian spirituality) struggling with porn use, whether secret or known. This group provides neuroscience-informed education, behavioral tools, wisdom reflections, and brotherhood. You are not alone—and this doesn’t have to define you. Are you ready to reclaim lost territory from the dark cloud of pornography today? This is not sobriety - this is spiritual restoration, clarity, and wholeness.

This online men’s group is a therapist-led, 5-month process for men seeking healing, integrity, and growth around unwanted sexual behaviors, emotional disconnection, and patterns shaped by trauma and attachment. Using the Journey Course framework, the group helps men understand the deeper emotional, relational, and neurological roots of behavior rather than relying on willpower alone. Participants meet weekly for two hours in a confidential, structured setting that emphasizes honesty, relational accountability, and sustained change. This is not a drop-in group; it is a committed cohort for men ready to engage consistently and do meaningful personal work.

Weekly intensive group therapy focused on living with sexual integrity. Each session is 50 minutes and is conducted via Zoom. Topics discussed include infidelity, porn/lust, risky sexual behaviors, and other unwanted behaviors. This is a safe space for men to take off their “mask,” practice honesty/vulnerability, develop an accountability network, and learn from others on the same journey. During the sessions, we share our struggles and successes. We develop solutions for difficult situations. We delve deeper into the underlying issues that hinder growth. We study books and selected readings to gain greater understanding.

How do we recognize & move through old ways of relating in order to engage in deep and authentic connections in our lives? The 5Rhythms® offers an embodied Map to help us to get present to what is real, to move us from confusion into clarity. IFS offers us tools to compassionately get to know the parts of ourselves who often create barriers to healthy relating. This workshop is a unique combination of these 2 incredible practices. The group energy allows us to get curious and playful, while also seeing ourselves mirrored by others. www.centeredsacramento.com/connection

Phil has facilitated weekly supportive psychotherapy men's groups for over 15 years. The experience of men's groups can help overcome social and emotional isolation that often accompany many difficulties for men. It gives men a safe place to be understood, share without shame, and be more relational in their lives. Men often enter the groups experiencing transitions such as ending a relationship or marriage: looking for more meaning from their lifes, going through a period of loss, depression, anxiety, or trauma; becoming a single father; or in the process of recovery (alcoholism, substance abuse, sexual addiction etc.)

I facilitate an on-going men’s group on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday evenings of each month. It is open to any men who wish to meet regularly with other men to examine what it means to be a man in today’s society. I facilitate very lightly and let the group decide how it will run and what topics they will examine together. We have a core of men that participate regularly and also welcome walk-ins on any meeting night. The fee is $180 for six months or $20 per night.

Gay, bisexual, and queer men face distinct challenges in connecting emotionally with other men. Struggling with societal expectations, it is easy to fall into isolation or unfulfilling relationships. Processing the “here and now” interpersonal dynamics in group therapy, men may find a safe space to redefine their own ways of relating, enabling them to form genuine connections in which they feel celebrated for who they are. This is why I created this online group for gay, bisexual, pansexual, and queer-identified men who want to grow in their connection to themselves and others.

This group is well-suited for fathers, meditators, image-makers, musicians, writers, activists, gardeners, farmers, and anyone dedicated to self-exploration and living a creative life. Recognizing and inhabiting ourselves- feelings, needs and desires-makes it possible to manifest the life we want. Practicing staying present in groups offers us the opportunity to illuminate problematic patterns of relating and to make different choices that support new ways of being. We'll learn to expand our capacity to field challenging emotional experience. Each group begins with a short meditation, followed by checking-in about our lives and group process.

Men's Issues Support Groups
Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
