If you or family member is suffering from Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), a group may support the mental health care you are receiving. BDD is treated successfully through collaborative work with doctors and therapists which may include Individual and/or Group Therapy. The ideal participant is aware of BDD and motivated to treat and overcome this disabling condition. Participants will learn strategies to treat Body Dysmorphic Disorder as well as receive the added benefit of group support. Meeting times will be in the evening. Please contact Margaret for more details.

Our mental fitness is just as important as our physical fitness. Investing in our total health includes learning how to manage challenges, emotions and relationships. I work with adults, teens and couples on issues such as stress, anxiety and depression. Allowing yourself to receive support during periods of stress or change can create opportunities for growth. Self-awareness and learning coping skills can help with navigating through current and future challenges. Whether you are new to therapy or returning, be confident that investing in mental health is a step toward living the life you imagined.

Teen Support Groups
Therapy support groups for teens in El Dorado County provide support during the transitional period where teens can bring up issues of independence and self-identity in a supportive environment.

Group therapy brings adolescents together who struggle with similar issues. It creates a safe space for teens to connect and support one another, while learning beneficial skills from an experienced therapist who serves as the group leader. Group therapy is an option that teens should consider as a powerful therapy alternative.
