Dialectical Behavior Therapy Group

DBT is an interpersonal skills training rooted in mindfulness thereby qualifying as an evidenced based practice. Each week we will process "homework" from previous week. Efforts to apply the new skill. Then we will teach a new skill to tackle in the current week. This technique was originally designed by a therapist who herself had a personality disorder to use with personality disordered individuals. I have been able to apply it successfully with recovering addicts, those with mood and anxiety disorders as well as personality disorders. I require that all group members maintain an ongoing weekly appointment with their therapist.
