The Substance Abuse Group/12 Steps Group combine the two informational process into one to focus on one's addiction. The rational behind the 12 Steps is informative. The group will be exposed to the 12 Steps as a set of principles or basic truths about living that apply across the board no matter what the situation. They are such basic truths that you do not have to be an addict or alcoholic for them to apply to living fully or solving problems in your life. They are universal principles for living that successful people live by without having to consciously think about them.
